DIFERENTES SABERES IMPLICADOS NO CUIDADO DE SAÚDE RIBEIRINHO: ANÁLISE TEÓRICA

O objetivo do texto é problematizaras diferenças estabelecidas entre o saber popular e o científico praticado, sobre à luz das comunidades ribeirinhas do Baixo Madeira, Porto Velho-RO, Brasil, que recorrem ao saber profissional oficial, folk e popular na escolha do itinerário terapêutico. Trata-se de estudo teórico-reflexivo que utilizou a literatura existente, a partir dos estudos socioantropológicos que abordam o processo saúde-doença e alguns conceitos que possibilitam a construção de um olhar ampliado acerca do cuidado de saúde ribeirinho. Trata-se de saberes que compõem a realidade do contexto ribeirinho, de modos distintos, considerados por vezes excludentes, porém são complementares. Ambas as formas de saber estão presentes nas práticas de saúde realizadas nessas comunidades, seja pelos profissionais de saúde retraduzindo o saber oficial, ou por meio dos especialistas do saber local.
