About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Revista Presença Geográfica - RPGeo is an electronic publication, of the Post-Graduation  Program in Geography, Master and Doctorate level, in the Federal University of Rondônia - UNIR. Our journal is published in continuous flow, with two thematic volumes and special volumes in its annual production.

Of scientific nature, the RPGeo journal is open access, publishes scientific articles, experiments, literature reviews or scientific original notes, unpublished and relevant, which can be in portuguese, english, french and spanish that contribute to local issues , regional, national and international, in contexts that cover geographic themes.

The objective of RPGeo is to promote and stimulate scientific debate through the production of special thematic issues or dedicated to events or tributes, to publish results of academic research, professional experiences, practices of national and international researchers and studious, in order to create a network cooperation between different national and international institutions.

Peer Review Process

The originals of the articles sent to RPGeo will be forwarded to the appreciation of two reviewers with recognized competence in the subject addressed, at least one linked to an external institution.If there is a contrary opinion, the Editorial Board will send the work to a third evaluator. All works will be endorsed by the Editor (s), who, upon finding that they are in accordance with the work presentation policies, will forward them for evaluation and opinions of the Scientific Committee. The peer review process is a confidential procedure regarding the identity of both authors and evaluator, so authors should use all possible means to avoid identifying the authorship of the submitted article, according to instructions available in Evaluation Process By Peer. The final decision on the publication or not to publish the manuscript is always the editors, who are entitled to make any adjustments they deem necessary. In the detection of writing problems and/or plagiarism, identified with the support of the CopySpider e Plagius software, according to the RPGeo ethics policy, the manuscript will be returned to the authors for the necessary alterations.The reformulated work must return within the maximum period determined in the communication between editor and author.

Open Access Policy

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.

Ethics Policy

The RPGeo follows the policy of ethic in publication and "plagiarism" based on the Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors of the Committee on Publication Ethics - COPE, for this it has the support of two plagiarism detection software (CopySpider and Plagius) in their evaluation process.
