TOQUE DE AXÉ: UM OLHAR SOBRE AS ESPACIALIDADES UMBANDISTAS

As manifestações umbandistas assentadas na cidade de Rio Grande-RS são de uma riqueza ímpar. E direcionar o olhar para a devoção é transitar no mundo do sagrado e de suas linguagens espacializadas, as quais compõem as sacralidades urbanas. Refletir sobre a musicalidade religiosa leva à incidência da existencialidade humana, ou seja, de um encontro preso não só ao caráter institucional, mas ao pertencer do indivíduo praticante religioso como ser capaz na sua forma de relacionar-se com o mundo. Assim, o presente artigo objetiva a reflexão sobre a espacialidade cultural religiosa e a sua relação com a musicalidade dos praticantes religiosos. Com isto, o estudo é composto pela observação e investigação de três comunidades religiosas umbandistas rio-grandinas: o Centro Espiritualista “Reino de São Jorge”, o Centro Espiritualista “Tenda de São Jorge” e o Centro Espírita de Umbanda “Cristo Redentor”, realizadas entre os anos de 2013 e 2015, as quais compuseram o cabedal de pesquisa de campo. Neste sentido, a pesquisa consiste ainda no diálogo geográfico, pautado na exposição das falas dos praticantes umbandistas entrevistados que permitiram pressupostos para análise das lembranças devocionais e suas espacialidades, na compreensão das manifestações sociais, onde são cultivadas as devoções.
