O JACARÉ E O ESTREITO DE BERING: ETNOGRAFIAS E DIÁLOGOS INTERCULTURAIS NO ENSINO

O artigo objetiva apresentar uma proposta de ensino de Geografia sobre migrações ancestrais e ocupação do continente americano, atenta às diretrizes da lei 11645/2008 e que utiliza, como recurso didático, narrativas de tradição oral de povos indígenas do Acre. Inspiram-nos as proposições teórico-metodológicas de Santos (2007) e sua defesa por uma ecologia e diálogo de saberes, e de Claval (1999, 2006) e suas contribuições para a definição do campo etnogeográfico. Este trabalho foi construído a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, e é também parte dos resultados de um projeto de extensão universitária desenvolvido em escolas de Rio Branco, Acre, onde a proposta de ensino foi aplicada. A analogia da narrativa sobre “o jacaré que serviu de ponte”, contada entre os povos Katukina e Huni Kuin, com a teoria do Estreito de Bering sobre a ocupação do continente americano, já foi apontada pelos professores indígenas em ACRE (2002). Este artigo vem corroborar a ideia de que as narrativas de tradição oral podem ser tratadas como explicações para fenômenos socioespaciais, e possuem um grande potencial como recurso didático em aulas de Geografia atentas à pluralidade epistêmica e cultural dos conhecimentos socioespaciais.Downloads
