O MENINO IRREFLEXIVO E A DEMISSÃO SUBJETIVA DA DOCÊNCIA: RAZÃO E EMOÇÃO PARA MANTER VIVA A CHAMA DO APRENDER A ENSINAR GEOGRAFIA COM NOSSOS ALUNOS.

Conciliar razão/conhecimento com emoção/sentimentos para cativar o interesse e manter a atenção dos alunos é uma das maiores dificuldades e desafios dos professores. É esta busca que vamos comparar à ação do artesão, cujos conhecimentos teóricos são fundamentais, mas não suficientes, para que seja efetiva a realização da função docente. A Geografia pode não ter soluções para as agruras da humanidade, mas apresenta a possibilidade, em suas aulas, de refletir sobre elas com a humilde esperança de que não somos condenados a repetir nossos erros. Manter a reflexão sistematizada sobre os espaços e grupos sociais com a combinação de razão (saber) e emoção (conhecer o outro, praticar a empatia) pode auxiliar na ampliação de nossa capacidade de entender o outro e com ele conviver de forma pacífica e respeitosa: a Geografia como práxis existencial e ontológica. O educador pode muito pouco, mas este pouco não é nada desprezível. Tocar as novas gerações é uma possibilidade concreta de contribuirmos com a construção de uma sociedade menos desigual.
