The Brazilian Amazon is undergoing profound territorial transformations with the expansion of several pioneering fronts that present economic activities supported by the removal of wood, establish of livestock and grain production (especially soy) and mining. Both resulting in a transformation of land use and land cover in the region. This article seeks to analyze these dynamics in the spatial area that corresponds to the AMACRO region (Amazonas, Acre and Rondônia) that present an intense process of transformation and loss of forest cover in the last two decades. In order to identify and map these changes, geotechnology and cartography tools were used, as well as databases available on Mapbiomas and Terrabrasilis. After the bibliographic survey and the crossing of geospatial data, it was identified that AMACRO corresponds to a new agricultural and deforestation frontier in the Brazilian Amazon.
