GEOGRAPHICAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO IDENTIFY RISK AREAS IN MANAUS-AM

This research sought to identify, through literature review, works carried out regarding risk areas in the city of Manaus-AM, in view of the recurrent alert situations in the city regarding this vulnerability, there was a need to organize works that deal with the same theme of areas of risk covering floods, erosion processes and landslides with the intention of offering a better accuracy of the published works and indicating the points more vulnerable of risk and their causes. For this, the methodology followed the bases of bibliographical research seeking analysis of the different positions on the same theme, thus, the main objective of this research is the literature review of results of studies that contributed to the identification of risk areas in Manaus, being the specific ones to be ) group the types of risks by result and b) prepare thematic map of risk areas in Manaus based on the results of the surveys. One of the results is that the east zone is the most affected among the processes of risk areas and with the highest number of registered cases, in addition to the Mindu Hydrographic Basin being the most reported in the studies.
