A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE ACQUISITION AND COMPOSITION OF A BASIC FOOD BASKET IN THE CITY OF TEFÉ - AM

Abstract

The work proposes to analyze and compare the price of the basic basket in supermarkets in the center of the city of Tefé-AM, taking into account the increase in the price of the basic basket in a short period of time. The specific objectives are: List and quantify the products that make up the basic food basket; Analyze the influence of the value of the basic food basket on family income, based on the value of the national minimum wage; Demonstrate the nutritional composition of the foods that make up the basic food basket. The research starts from a temporal methodological analysis, in Tefé/Am, year/2022, with a critical view of price comparison, bibliographical research and direct observation were carried out in commercial establishments, in order to demonstrate in a study the survey of contradictions. According to the speech made, the supermarkets had a difference in the price of the basic basket, due to the value of the product inserted, since the products have different values ​​in each supermarket. When analyzing the influence of the monthly value of family income, based on the national minimum wage, a variation of 9% to 14% on the value of the national minimum wage was observed, generating a significant percentage of the monthly income of families. Note the difference in prices of products in the basic basket, which is described in the fourteen (14) items that make it up. This demonstrates the nutritional issue in food, the items presented by supermarkets compared with the nutritional standard, of some items not meeting nutrient needs. Finally, register that the price of the basic basket directly qualifies the family budget of the Tefe population.
