The disorderly use of water resources and the demand for water for human activities often exceed the supply, causing a water crisis. Rondônia alreadyhas some municipalities that face urban water supply problems, amongwhichis Alvorada d’Oeste, which, through the City Hall, asked SEDAM to carry out a study to verify the possible causes of urban shortages in the dry season. Thus, this work aims to disseminate the results of the previous diagnosisofthe Ribeirão Cacau Basin. For this purpose, bibliographical research was carried out regarding the use and occupation of the soil, identification of water uses through the CNARH and verification in loco of samplings of the uses of soil and water. The results indicate that the water uses in the basin are mainly for irrigation activities, animal watering, public supply and effluent discharge. The APP's of the main course are partially preserved. And most properties have CAR. Finally, in order to maintain the guarantee of multiple uses of water in the Ribeirão Cacau basin, minimizing possible conflicts between users, it is suggested that the recommendations mentioned by the technicians from SEDAM in Ji-Paraná be followed.
