The issue of water degradation is of particular concern because of the various uses for which water is destined. Thus, studies that include environmental analyzes in small basins are essential to improve the management of this resource at the municipal or regional level. In view of this, the objective of the present study is to carry out a bibliographic review of the scientific researches produced on the urban microbasins in the municipality of Ji-Paraná, state of Rondônia. Most of the studies indicate negative environmental impacts on urban water resources in Ji-Paraná-RO. The importance of disseminating these results to the municipal community is emphasized, especially to organs management bodies, so that they can enable actions and instruments to adapt to the management of urban water bodies in the municipality of Ji-Paraná-RO.
