The hydrographic basin is essential in environmental studies focused on the assessment of physical or social impacts, considered fundamental for the analysis of water resources and environmental dynamics, it is the most suitable unit for planning and management. In this sense, the present work sought to analyze the physical-natural components of the Itacaiúnas hydrographic basin, capable of demonstrating the processes of nature as systemic dynamics of the planning unit. The type of research used in this work was the bibliographical and the case study, the method used was the systemic, seeking to analyze the parts in an interrelated way so as to understand the whole. For the elaboration of the maps, Qgis 3.16, the most stable version of the software, was used. As a result, three tables, nine maps and a figure were created, the tables being: percentage of geomorphological units, morphometric characteristics of the basin, slope classes in percentage; the maps: base map, geomorphological, pedological, vegetation, land use and cover, conservation units, mineral resources, slope and the hypsometric map, in addition to a figure representing the main environmental problems of the basin. Thus, this work highlighted the importance of researching the hydrographic basin from a systemic view and, by performing the characterization of the physical-natural aspects of the study area, the environmental problems present in the region were also identified. Information that, in addition to contributing to the scientific development of the Amazon region, may also support the region's environmental planning.
