With the advancement of family farming, the amount of waste in the rural area grows, and as a result, environmental damage from an ecological and social nature is gradually and quietly arising. In the methodological question, the ad hoc combination of quantitative methods followed by qualitative methods was chosen. In this case, it was found that family farmers use pesticides in various activities, producing considerable quantities of packaging. It was also found that the collection of waste from these activities or the delivery to points, until then, is an almost nonexistent
practice. In contrast, pesticide containers are stored in bins and sheds or disposed of using inappropriate methodologies.
