DESAFIOS E PERSPECTIVAS NO ENSINO DA GEOGRAFIA: UMA ANÁLISE DO NOVO ENSINO MÉDIO

Resumen

ABSTRACT: This research addressed the perspectives and challenges of teaching Geography with the New High School. By BNCC, the New High School, the curricular component Geography was extinguished, having its content integrated to the Areas of Human Sciences and their Technologies. Faced with this reality, Geography, as an autonomous science, began to be integrated with history, philosophy and sociology. In this way, what paths does Geography follow in high school, considering the current conceptions of teaching and learning that are necessary for the individual to develop his level of knowledge, conceiving his own reflections and conceptions of the geographic space and the political and that are established in it, since it is no longer a mandatory subject? In this sense, the legislation was used as a theoretical-analytical reference, including the National Curriculum Guidelines, which provided support for the development of the research. The objective was to analyze the challenges and perspectives of teaching Geography in contemporary times in the New High School, as well as to understand the teaching of Geography in the context of the BNCC; characterize the teaching of Geography in New High School; to analyze the evolution of Geography as knowledge and discipline in High School. The methodology used to obtain the information presented in this scenario was based on documentary research, as a result, a great need to work in an interdisciplinary and transversal way emerges as a possibility of production and adaptation of space and nature. It is necessary the continued training of teachers as a way to ensure more efficient and meaningful learning of Geography.
