Abstract

This research seeks to identify the environmental perception of Geography Teachers who work in rural riverside schools, identified by Semed Manaus as Country Schools, and how this view interferes in the construction of students' environmental knowledge. Its specific objectives are to analyze the teacher's environmental education, understand how it made connections between environmental education and education in the countryside, and identify the approach to Environmental Education of Geography teachers in rural schools. The research is based on a qualitative approach, using a bibliographic survey to understand and discuss the concepts, applying sampling to assess the environmental background of the research subjects. It is hoped that this investigation will contribute to the discussion of the construction of environmental knowledge of students who live outside the urban area of Manaus, through an interdisciplinary geographical approach.
