The cultural manifestations settled in the city of Rio Grande/RS-Brazil elaborate unique heritage richness. And directing the gaze to these cultural elements is also transiting in the world of the sacred, of odors, flavors, musicality and memory and their spatialized languages which make up this urban space. And reflect on the religious deity of Matriz Afro celebrated on July 29, as the lord of the paths, who carries the sacred keys, the Bará. And their relationship in the Rio-grandino Municipal Public Market leads to the incidence of an existentialist story, that is, of a meeting bound not only to the institutional character, but the belonging of the individual, merchant and religious as capable beings in their own way to relate to the world. Therefore, the case study carried out in the city of Rio Grande, between the years 2019 and 2022, which made up part of the field investigation on the spatialities and territories of Rio Grande’s senses. This reading about spatialities exposes the understanding of this space and its facets.
