Applied Physics Teaching in High School with Technological Intermediation: An Analysis of the Impact on Student Education

Authors

Abstract

This study aims to understand the teaching and learning methodology of Physics in the 1st year of high school, applied through the High School with Technological Mediation (EMMTEC) project, as well as to identify the main difficulties faced by students. To carry out this analysis, a qualitative and exploratory approach was used. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with educators, classroom observations were made, and a closed questionnaire was administered to students. The research and interviews were conducted in three public schools, all located in rural areas. Based on the data collected, it was possible to verify that, despite the efforts of the monitors to intensify the applied themes, learning becomes complex due to the loss of direct contact between teacher and student. The EMMTEC project, which uses technological resources to mediate teaching, ends up generating this lack of personal interaction, which affects the students' learning process.
