PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES AND SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY
Abstract
Pedagogical approaches are present in Basic Education as theory, practices and teaching methodologies. This relationship with learning makes the different fields of knowledge and school disciplines have a direct relationship with the different pedagogical approaches, present in the teacher education everyday didactics in school environments. In the case of Geography as a school discipline, it is also possible to find this relationship with different ways of thinking and doing pedagogically, a relationship that is the main objective of the present work. This paper is divided into two complementary part, In the first moment, the relationship between the main pedagogical approaches will be developed, in general and in order to present some of their specificities and the way in which the characteristics of these Pedagogy trends are present in School Geography, bringing didactic-pedagogical elements that we can find in the teaching of Geography in relation to these pedagogical approaches, in the second moment, focusing on the main objective of the reflection proposed between School Geography and pedagogical trends, as a possibility of implementing the theories and practices of these different perspectives of pedagogical practice in the teaching of Geography.
