Narratives, Ritual, and Cultural Strengthening Projects

Abstract

This study aims to present the narratives, ritual and cultural strengthening projects of the Omágua-Kambeba people. Therefore, the autobiographical narrative methodology was used with a qualitative approach. The results indicate that the Kambeba school is a vital instrument in the processes of identity strengthening, because in this space, the language, the dance, the narratives, the stories, the culinary and other cultural aspects of the Omágua people are revived and valued. These people, therefore, make efforts to pass on their history through ancestral narratives and strengthen their culture through social projects developed by the school and the community in which they work on the cuisine, graphics and crafts of the Omágua-Kambeba people.
