Literary stops and amazonian encantry in O Guesa and A Queda do Céu

Abstract

This article aims to reflect on O Guesa and A Queda do Céu: words from a Yanomami shaman. The objective is to bring to discussion the radical singularity, poetic sensitivity and thematic density of both works, showing at the same time how the enchantments and stops are shown in the narrative told by Kopenawa and Albert and in Sousandrade. Methodologically, we will show some positions on the reception and production of the work, especially some of the author’s statements about the poem. The steps are as follows: contextulization of the first work, survey of part of the recepcion and manifestations of the author. Next, reflection on the corners where enchantments and stops develop.The expected result is to show that both in the romantic text and in the contemporary text the themes can be understood as enchantments and stops. We hope that the results show how potentially avant-garde, the work in addressing Amazonian themes in a century in which that scenario or environment was rarely fictionalized, from the perspective of this culture.
