The present work aims to analyze the testimony of the political activist Derlei Catarina de Luca, who was persecuted, tortured, arrested and exiled during the period of the Brazilian military dictatorship, having posthumously reported her experiences in the book No corpo e na alma, which was published in 2002. to make considerations about Derlei's aforementioned literary production, in the understanding that his text contributes to the maintenance of the history and memory that deals with the Brazilian military regime, since it acts as a poetics of testimony that operates as a political act of resistance, insofar as it emphasizes the narration of the experience of the dictatorship as a way of democratizing the writing of history.
