Slackline Learning for elementary school students

The following study will avaluate the change of the proficiency in the motion regarding slackline for children from seven to ten years old enrolled on the third and fifth grade. The pedagogical procedures are from the School of Adventures’ method (Escola de Aventura), validated for the Elementary School I. The intervention was of two Weekly classes with an aproximate duration of 100 minutes. It was avaluated before and after the intervention: technique, distance of movement and subjective perception regarding the experience. The obtained results point out that the third grade presented roughly a 221,2% superior motion level and an emotional evolution of 125,9% regarding the control towards the perception of risk. The fifth grade presented an average of 107,7% superior motion and 105,1% of emotional state evolution. The obtained data show that after the pedagogic period of four weeks, the children showed improvements of technical acquisiton, motion levels and perception of risk (control).
