READING AND WRITING AS FORMS OF MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SOCIABILITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL

Abstract

Human beings are sociable beings and social involvements are expressed in various ways: talking, working, attending religions, discussing and – perhaps even mainly – reading and writing. In this sense, this research aims to identify how the individual expresses his sociability through reading and writing, besides reflecting on issues pertinent to reading and writing in relation to its importance in the formation and autonomy of the student and important elements for its encouragement, including the school, the teacher and the family. For this, we start from the hypothesis that reading and writing are plural and real forms of manifestation and social involvement. To carry out the research, we used the qualitative and bibliographic method that we drank from the Piaget (1975), Goulart (2002), Antunes (2003) and other authors who served as the theoretical basis for this article. Finally, we found that both writing and reading are essential tools in the formation of the subject and that they need to be present in the student's life from early childhood. Furthermore, we confirm the hypothesis that reading and writing are forms of manifestation and social involvement.
