Notas sobre o esquecimento e a ferida exposta no poema “Recostura”, de Marcelo Mário de Melo

Abstract

In this article, we intend to outline a reflection on the poem “Recostura”, by Marcelo Mário de Melo, in dialogue with recent events in Brazil, in order to highlight the abuses of collective forgetting and its social and political implications, with effects on the production contemporary literature. In this sense, there is an important movement in literature towards the resumption of the memory of the recent Brazilian past, especially the context of the military dictatorship (1964-1985). The interpretation of the poem will take place in the direction of the policy of dememory in Brazil and in the ideological support through amnesia. In this reflection, we also seek to analyze the subjective and collective wound from the "latent pain" and "exposed pain" written in the poet's verses, in addition to understanding the relationship of identification of a part of the Brazilian people with public figures notably authoritarian. For this reflection, the theory of testimonial literature will be activated, as well as the thought of Paul Ricoeur and his phenomenology, in Memory, history, oblivion.
