Domestic violence in young women between 18 to 24 years in the municipality of Ariquemes-RO

Abstract

Based on the documentary analyzes made available by the police station of the civil police unit and also at the support house Noeli dos Santos, the survey on domestic violence with young people between 18 and 24 in the municipality of Ariquemes - Rondônia, was carried out with a qualitative approach, where used bibliographic sources, documentary analysis of police reports recorded in the years 2016 and 2017, in addition to a service record for women victims of violence in the municipality. The method used to assist in the analyzes was phenomenological, opting for the typology of descriptive and explanatory writing. These procedures led so that the theme could be developed, based on gender cuts based on the concepts of cultural geography. The objective is to understand the factors that trigger the violence suffered by young women aged 18 to 24 and whether these factors correlate with the impunity of offenders, which are often aggravated due to the non-applicability of the Maria da Penha Law No. 11,340 of 2006. The result points to for the understanding that there was a decrease in the number of recorded occurrences comparing between the two years of the research, possibly this is due to the rigor applied to the Maria da Penha Law in punishing the aggressors.

Possui graduação em Farmácia - Faculdades Associadas de Ariquemes (2016). Atualmente é diretor do Centro Universitário Internacional. Mestrando em Geografia pela Universidade Federal de Rondônia e pesquisador do do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Geografia, Mulheres e Relações Sociais de Gênero -GEPGÊNERO-PPGG/UNIR.
