THE PATHS OF COMMUNITY TOURISM: SUSTAINABLE PARTICIPATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF TERRITORIALITIES AND CULTURE IN THE JENIPAPO KANINDÉ INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY IN AQUIRAZ-CEARÁ

The state of Ceará has a diversity of landscapes, populations and, consequently, cultural manifestations. Its history is linked to that of the population that lives there. The Jenipapo Kanindé are made up of singularities that permeate their territorialities and culture through the recognition and strengthening of their leading role in community tourism and its practices. Given this panorama, we propose to analyze the community participation of the Jenipapo Kanindé indigenous community as an agent in the construction of territories and culture. To complement the general objective, the research objectives were outlined, namely: 1) To investigate how decisions related to sustainable tourism among the Jenipapo Kanindé indigenous people reflect the cultural values and traditional practices of the community, 2) To identify how the trust and cooperation networks of the Jenipapo Kanindé community impact territorial practices, 3) To describe the challenges faced by the Jenipapo Kanindé community in mobilizing and organizing to promote community participation in sustainable tourism. In order to expand the investigation, a bibliographic survey based on the thoughts of authors who address this topic is used as a methodological procedure. Therefore, seeking a greater understanding of the topic, it is recommended that future studies be articulated as a fight for sustainable development, making communities play a leading role in developing their territories and culture, strengthening the provocations of community tourism in different circumstances.
