MAPPING OF MESOCLIMATIC UNITS IN TABOÃO DA SERRA – SP

This work proposes the mapping of different urban and non-urban mesoclimatic units in the Taboão da Serra city, located in Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. For an execution, an analysis of the relations between features and climatic elements that was elaborated, and the development and occupation of the study area conducted by Tarifa and Azevedo (2001) for a São Paulo metropolis. A research was supported by cartographic products elaborated by means of Geoprocessing software, essential in the dimensioning of the physical characteristics and the surface temperature of each unit . Three anthropic characteristic mesoclimatic units were identified: central - divided between the nucleus and the extension, periphery, in addition to the natural (non-urban) unit, as well as the work used in the methodology. Thus, proven as the different aspects in relation to soil use, vegetation cover and local development - elements linked to the location of Taboão da Serra city - direct impact on temperature distribution and thermal comfort in the study area.
