This study seeks to investigate the traditional knowledge of the Parintintin people for health treatment and healing from the use of medicinal animals and vegetables. The methodology consisted of fieldwork, in daily living with the indigenous, in a stay of four months, divided in the years 2015 and 2017, from the participant observation, oral history, semistructured interviews, identification of vegetables species, among other research procedures and techniques. It was found that diseases can be of body (malaria, respiratory system, digestive system, genito-urinary tract, etc.) and of soul (evil eye and other spiritual problems). Flora and fauna species can be used in a combined way, in addition to association between species of native flora (from forest) with those planted (from backyards). The therapeutic itinerary involves various methods of use, such as teas, syrups, blessings, smokings and others. Healing, in general, occurs when the balance of being is restored with itself (body and soul) and with the world around it (social, biophysical and supernatural environment). Their traditional knowledge, territorially ingrained, allows them to manage the elements of fauna and flora in sustainable way, establishing a relationship of balance, integration and coevolution with local nature.
