Abstract

In their constitutive potentialities, text and image express different manifestations of time and space through aesthetic resources that are inscribed in the narrative schemes of the work Lá e aqui, written by Carolina Moreyra and illustrated by Odilon Moraes. Based on this configuration, the objective of this article is to analyze the expression of time and space to understand the verbal and visual in the narrative. As a problematizing question, the investigative path continues in the search to identify how time and space are projected by elements that are part of the text and illustrations in the work. Sophie Van der Linden's (2018) studies on the relationships between texts and images, with an approach project aimed at the expression of time and space in illustrated books, constitute a theoretical basis for analysis. In the relationships between verbal and visual, the dynamic expression of time and space in the narrative is revealed.
