Quilombo Territories and Territorialities of the Municipality of Óbidos-Pa: The Case of the Quilombo of the Área das Cabeceiras

This article aimed to analyze the territorial formation, the territorialities and the forms of resistance of the quilombola territories of the Areas of Cabeceiras, municipality of Óbidos, west of the Amazon of Pará, understand the territorialities existing in the place and the historicity of the struggles and resistances of the quilombola communities for the demarcation of their lands. A theoretical-conceptual review was carried out in Saquet (2015), Anjos (2013), Acevedo and Castro (1998), Funes (1995; 1999), Treccani (2006). Three field works were also carried out, whose data collection instrument was the application of semi-structured interviewees. The age group of the interviewees was between 56 and 87 years years of age. During the application of question in each field was differentiated, where 6 subjects were interviewed, 4 women and 2 men. The interview technique was applied to residents of the Cabeceiras Area, members of the Blackheads Association of the Cabeceiras Area (ACORNECAB) and community leaders who were from the beginning of the movement to recognize the area and affirm the identity of the territory as quilombola.Downloads
