Habits of adolescents on the use of digital media

This research seeks to present and analyze the behavioral changes of the last decades, based on the influence of digital technologies, observing the positive and negative aspects of the question and, consequently, what this has caused in society and in the family, and which would be the solutions presented regarding the excessive and / or indiscriminate use of digital media, their impact on the habits of life of adolescents, as well as the implication in the studies, the disorders that have caused to health, among others. The methodology adopted is descriptive, bibliographical, with a qualitative approach, complemented by quantitative data. The data collection took place in 4 State’s schools of Francisco Beltrão-PR, two colleges below the average and two above the average proposed by IDEB, being this a criterion that was used only to select the schools surveyed. The study population consisted of 336 adolescents and 17 teachers. The prognosis evidences a concern and emerging need of awareness of the society regarding the biopsychosocial impacts of the use of digital technologies. Therefore, the emerging need for changes in pedagogical practice, teaching methods and much more in school management of available resources, especially technological ones, is pointed out.
