Abstract

This article is an experience report about a case of epilepsy, in which a nine-year-old child is diagnosed and receives the news inappropriately. This text is therefore intended to report and reflect on the case of this child, attended at a clinical psychology school in the interior of the state of Rondônia. As a clinical case, the method used was psychotherapeutic care, with sessions of fifty minutes that lasted for approximately ten months in 2012, during which play activities were performed in a room for child care. It is noticed that the child carries a strong label imposed by the doctor, which together with the diagnosis given by the doctor, were used by the school to evade their responsibility in relation to learning of this child.
