Abstract

This paper discusses a teaching strategy based on the creation and representation of analogies by means of body language. The analogies were developed aiming to represent two experiments in atomic-molecular level and they were staged to the colleagues who should interpret them in terms of chemical aspects. The study was performed with students from a Federal University enrolled in a General Chemistry course. Both analogies created and students’ interpretation from the representation considered important conceptual relationships, what revealed appropriation of chemistry concepts.
